We design in accordance with European and global standards — PN-EN ISO 7396-1 i ISO 7396-2, British HTM 02-01 and French FDS — taking care of safety, operational continuity and quality of workmanship. We create 3D projects using the technology BIM (Autodesk Revit).

  • Compliance with standards ISO 7396-1 / 7396-2, HTM 02-01, FDS
  • Oxygen (O₂), vacuum (VAC), compressed air (AIR), N₂O, CO₂
  • Complete documentation, acceptance and validation
  • Service, inspections and 24/7 monitoring
  • Experience in projects throughout Poland
  • 3D design technology BIM (Autodesk Revit, concurrent work)

Our services

Full scope of work on medical gas installations

Installation design

We prepare the complete technical documentation as well as the operational management documentation for medical gas installations, selecting solutions tailored to the facility's requirements. We design in BIM technology (Autodesk Revit) in accordance with the PN-EN ISO 7396-1 and 7396-2 standards as well as the HTM and FDS guidelines. We classify medical gas systems as class IIb medical devices according to MDR 2017/745 — we prepare the full technical documentation required by the regulation.

Installation assembly

We carry out the installation of medical gas systems — pipelines, sources, supply points and supply units — in accordance with the design documentation and the ISO 7396-1 standard. We conclude every project with testing, commissioning and formal technical acceptance.

Production of supply-system controllers

We design and manufacture our own supply-system controllers (O₂, AIR, VAC and others). These proprietary solutions ensure reliable control, redundancy and continuous supervision of the operation of the sources supplying the installation.

Inspections, audits and inventories

We inventory and audit existing medical gas installations in accordance with the ISO 7396-1 standard, indicating non-conformities and the scope of remedial actions. We also issue technical opinions concerning medical devices of various classes in accordance with the MDR 2017/745 regulation.

Gas supply system servicing

We provide servicing, periodic inspections and maintenance medical gas supply systems (in.AIR and in.VAC) and medical gas installations. We combine products from renowned manufacturers with our own innovative solutions and 24/7 monitoring, ensuring continuity and safety of operation.

Cleaning and decontamination

Cleaning and decontamination of medical gas installations (including vacuum) using a patented method, without replacing the pipeline. Disinfection is carried out using a method VHP (vaporised hydrogen peroxide) — low-temperature and zonal, without shutting down the entire facility. We confirm effectiveness through tests in an accredited laboratory and re-certification in accordance with ISO 7396-1.

Knowledge · Standardisation · Experts

Experience trusted by the largest investments in Poland

For over 15 years we have been preparing documentation and supervising medical gas installations — participating in virtually all of the largest hospital investments in the country. Our expertise is confirmed by our involvement in standardisation, academic teaching and expert work.

  • Standardisation: we have been appointed to the Technical Committee PKN no. 284 for Medical Mechanical Equipment, Instruments and Devices — by participating directly in the work of the Polski Komitet Normalizacyjny on standards for medical devices and installations.
  • Teaching: our specialists lecture, among others, at the Zachodniopomorski Uniwersytet Technologiczny w Szczecinie, Politechnika Poznańska, Śląski Uniwersytet Medyczny w Katowicach and many other universities.
  • Science: we co-create scientific and industry publications dedicated to medical gas installations.
  • Experts: our employees act as court experts, industry experts and experts in the security of critical infrastructure facilities.
  • Projects: over 15 years we have created medical gas installation documentation for the largest hospital projects in Poland.
  • Cybersecurity: we implement IT systems in compliance with the requirements imposed on operators of essential services (Krajowy System Cyberbezpieczeństwa).

Our tools

Medpipe's proprietary solutions for medical gas installations

TardisBOX

Intelligent medical gas monitoring system. It monitors the condition of the installation 24/7 in real time, detects anomalies before a failure occurs and immediately raises an alarm (SMS, e-mail). 2D/3D visualisation, MODBUS integration. It monitors oxygen (O₂), compressed air (AIR), vacuum (VAC), nitrous oxide (N₂O) and carbon dioxide (CO₂).

Frequently asked questions

It is an international standard that sets out the requirements for piped medical gas systems in healthcare facilities — from design, through execution, to operation. We design all our projects in accordance with this standard.

We design and build installations for oxygen (O₂), medical compressed air (AIR), vacuum (VAC), nitrous oxide (N₂O) and carbon dioxide (CO₂).

Yes. We carry out inspections, audits and servicing of medical gas supply systems and installations, as well as continuous 24/7 monitoring thanks to the TardisBOX system.

Yes — the TardisBOX system monitors the installation 24/7 in real time, archives data and immediately alerts you to irregularities via SMS and e-mail.

The process includes: (1) analysis of the facility's requirements — type of institution, number and types of supply points, zone requirements; (2) a concept design with the selection of sources and routes; (3) a detailed design in BIM technology (Autodesk Revit) in accordance with PN-EN ISO 7396-1; (4) preparation of operational management documentation (DZE); (5) technical acceptance and post-installation validation.

The complete design documentation includes: a concept and detailed design according to PN-EN ISO 7396-1, hydraulic calculations (including simultaneity factors), functional diagrams and BIM/Revit drawings, specifications of materials and equipment, operational management documentation (DZE) as well as — for class IIb medical devices according to MDR 2017/745 — the required technical documentation.

Yes. Pipeline medical gas systems are classified as class IIb medical devices in accordance with the MDR 2017/745 Regulation. The design and execution of the installation must meet the essential requirements of a medical device. Medpipe takes these requirements into account at every stage of the project and issues technical opinions regarding conformity.

The lead time depends on the scale of the facility. A project for a small establishment usually takes 2–4 weeks; a full design of a hospital medical gas system — 6–12 weeks. We set the exact schedule individually after analysing the requirements of the investment.
